Steelers training camp is underway. Mike McCarthy is now the head coach, which the team is hoping that, like Bill Cowher, is a “yinzer hire” that sparks a resurgence. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers also back for one more season, with a reunion of his and McCarthy’s Super Bowl XLV win over the team they now represent.

Rodgers, who will turn 43 during the upcoming season, telling reporters at St. Vincent College in Latrobe what led to his decision to return…

Ah, yes. Rodgers’ wife Brittani.

During the 2025 season, my girlfriend was interested in the NFL season for two reasons: winning her fantasy football league (which she did!) and trying to find any evidence that Rodgers’ wife actually existed.

In Rodgers’ defense, it’s easy to understand why someone as polarizing as him would want to keep his personal life out of the public eye, especially loved ones.

But on the other side of the coin, Aaron Rodgers’ mannerisms make it that you can’t help but question if this is Maris Crane from “Frasier” situation where we hear about her but never get to see her as the audience, or is it a “I have a girlfriend in Canada” one.

Also, following the whole Manti Te’o-Lennay Kekua saga at Notre Dame, you can understand the want for at least a photo of her. Or in Mitch McConnell’s current case, a video.

While a conversation with the wife led to him coming back for a 2nd season in Pittsburgh, the Athletic reported that he was encouraged by Brittani’s younger sister to sign with the Steelers, so there’s another person, Mia, who could quiet the doubters.

I see the 2026 season going the same way 2025 did for the Steelers: squeaking out a winning record and losing in the Wild Card, while still questioning who exactly Brittani is.
